Thanks for the support.

I just want to thank everyone that has been viewing my website and sending postive emails and feedback to me. Starting off in the blogging world really sucks when you have no one viewing. So I just want to thank the ones that have visited and responded either through commenting or sending an email. I really appreciate the support. Feel free to continue doing so!!!!!

Random Thought of the Day

Why does my dog wait until he comes back inside from using the bathroom to eat his food? This happens everyday. I take my dog for a walk outside and he runs in house straight to his food bowl. Five minutes later he is begging to go outside again.

So today is my weigh in......

And I haven't lost any pounds. I KNOW it's because I cheated over the holiday weekend but I am still kind of upset. I think I may switch back over to my old workout routine which consisted of my doing some form of cardio everyday as opposed to every other day. I will continue to go to the running track every morning to prepare for the 8k but I will make more of an effort to include cardio during every workout.

When I got on the scale this morning I was reminded of the old saying "Exercising means nothing when you are not changing your daily diet". I did good all week but fell to the wayside when it came to the weekend. I will try to make more of an effort to carry my postive eating changes over to the weekend when I am out of town.

What about you? Are you sticking to changes that you are making? What are some challenges to your goals? What are you doing to counteract those hinderances?

So I researched further and I found a VERY detailed training schedule for beginners attempting to participate in a 8k. Click the link to read over what he is saying and tell me what you think. I like this schedule because it actually breaks down everything you should be doing and the different lingos. A lot of websites I visited just posted a schedule without explaining what it means so I am glad to find this site. Here you are:

Beginners 5k Program for women

Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a correction. In the Big News post, I stated that I would be participating in a marathon. A reader expressed concern over the fact that I will be attempting to run 26 miles with only 10 weeks to train. It is not the 26 mile marathon that I am participating in, it is the 8k. I should have been more explanatory so I apologize.

But anywhoo, I was doing some research to find a training schedule to train for the 8k and I can across this beginner's program training schedule. It is a program for 5k runners but I am sure it can still be used for people interested in running an 8k or even a half marathon. I can't figure out how to post the schedule so here is the link. If you are training as well, fell free to post a schedule/program that you are adhering to.

Good Morning to Everyone

So far I have had a pretty productive morning, I went to the gym and ran for half a mile once again. I plan on returning later because I did not stay as long as I would have liked to. I have been slacking when it comes to working out lately but I am determined to get back on track.

How has your morning been so far?

Hello....Good Morning!

Just checking in before I go to work. I went to the gym today to start my training. I did much better then I thought I would. I ran for a half a mile on the treadmill. I plan on training in the gym until next Friday and then go to the outdoor track next Saturday. Anyway I have to get ready for work so I will update more later.

Quote of the day:

Get rid of the negative people in your life - surround yourself with positive people who believe in you and inspire you.

There will always be people around you that will speak negatively about what you wear, your lifestyle and your decisions in life. Just remember that it is better to separate yourself from these people rather than feed into them. Because in the end, you will become that same negative, insecure person.

Attitude

"Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what people do or say. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.

The remarkable thing is, we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude."

Fell off the wagon!!!! :(

I fell off the wagon already guys. Today I took a nap and woke up and made a bowl of spaghetti. I feel kinda bad but I am proud of myself for making it a full 24 hours on the fast so I can't beat myself up too much about it.

Tomorrow will be a new start for me. I went to the store friday and bought $30 worth of fruits and will begin my effort to eat healthy and exercise regularly.

I will also continue with my fast however, this will not be a water fast. I plan on subtaining from smoking, fast food, junk food and sodas for 30 days. I will make a conscious effort to pack my lunch daily to assist in me keeping to my fast. Hopefully I fare better on this fast than I did with the water fast lol.

Remember everyday is a new day for you to improve and better yourself. What have you done today to contribute to a better you?

Fasting Update

It is now 4'oclock and I have made it halfway throughmy first day of fasting. My stomach is literally cursing me out right now. So far I have been drinking water all day and I've drank 2 cups of tea. Physically I am tired, no abnormal pain or anything. I will say that you start to notice food more when you aren't eating.

Today I had to pick my client up from church and her family wanted to stop by KFC. I swear chicken has never smelled so good!!!! She offered me some but I lied and told her I'd eaten already.

Tip of the day: Keep yourself busy!!!!!!

When I am sitting around bored, I begin reasoning with myself on why it would be alright for me to cheat. Keeping yourself busy by reading a book, writing, or doing work will help to combat this.

Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow

Today is the first day of my 2 day fast. I originally started yesterday but by 3pm I crashed faster than two fat kids running for the last slice of chesecake. I am starting over today and will be finished by 8pm tomorrow evening.

I was motivated to partake in a fast after stumbling upon this young lady's blog

.Major Must Haves

In the blog post quoted she spoke on wanting to regroup and get herself together after an uneasy feeling. When reading her blog I understood exactly where she was coming from and decided to join in on a 2 day fast myself.

My reason for the fast is to detox my body of horrible toxins and jumpstart my weight loss program.

I have never tried this before and am very excited about it. So far today, I drank a big cup of water and a glass of tea. I am thinking about stopping by the store to pic up some fruit and vegetable juices to trick my stomach into filling full. I will update my blog a few times today to tell you about my progress.

Later on today, I will be posting information on how to properly fast and the benefits of fasting
